The one-stroke paintings created by Ting Yin Yung in his later years are noteworthy for their graceful lines and straightforward compositions, which are also key features of his running and cursive scripts. In connection with the exhibition Enduring Strength and Passion: The Chinese and Western Art of Ting Yin Yung, this workshop will introduce Ting’s artistic concepts and methods for using brush and ink on xuan paper. Participants will practice the single-stroke technique to create their own simple-looking, yet sophisticated artwork by combining observation skills with brushwork.
