To commemorate Ting Yin Yung’s 120th birthday, we will look back on his artistic achievements and contributions to art education in Hong Kong through the memories of Ting’s devoted students and friends.

Mr Tsui Chi Yu began his studies in 1966, in the Fine Arts Department (FAA) of New Asia College at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). He was a student of Chen Shih Wen, Ting Yin Yung and Pierre Ryckmans. He has worked in various units of CUHK for the past twenty-seven years, including as producer for the ITV program Introduction to Chinese Painting, which featured work by Ting Yin Yung. Over the past ten years, he has participated in editing many books about former FAA teachers that have been published by the Alumni Association of FAA, CUHK.
