Abstract

In his lecture, Dr Harald P Kraemer will provide insights into the philosophical and historical foundations of the UMAG exhibition COUPLET PAIR REBUS. This discussion will include prominent Western thinkers such as Aristotle, Cicero, Leibniz, Kant, Schopenhauer and Wittgenstein, alongside classics from the East such as the Yi Jing and Dao De Jing. Through a comparative analysis with the exhibited works of art, both fundamental similarities and differences will be presented.
