This lecture will argue that, contrary to what is sometimes claimed, cultural heritage researchers and practitioners are uniquely positioned to help shape the social fabric of a post-AI and post-quantum world. Their expertise lies in understanding how imagination, intelligence, and technology interact to materialize and share human creativity, while encouraging critical reflection on the legacies of the past. By fostering dialogue across different forms of knowledge and interpretation, they are well placed to engage with emerging technologies. In this view, the development of computational intelligence is not a threat but an invitation to new possibilities.
