Health Humanities Global Classroom using digital museum collections
—an approach to develop students’ intercultural capabilities

Workshop format

  1. Introduction
  2. The first hour will be based around small group object-based learning with key objects from the HKU collection that have already been used for the HHGC. Three facilitators (Heather, Kwang, Florian), will each take 1/3 of the group for a discussion focused on an object as a “conversation piece”.
  3. The second hour will be an introduction to the current HHGC project, including showing brief video segments, presenting a selection of Padlet notes made by students and discussing outcomes from the focus groups.
  4. The session will conclude with a discussion of the wider applicability of the findings into other disciplines, and across multiple universities.

Time: 10am–12 noon

All are welcome. The two-hour workshop will be followed by a lunch.
