Changsha wares were first produced in the 8th century and reached its peak during the mid to late–Tang period (618–907). This period marked the height of Changsha kilns’ productive prosperity and prestige, astounding both in their stunning quality and sheer quantity. As Initial products were similar to the Yuezhou wares, it is believed that Changsha wares were developed on the foundation of Yuezhou wares.
