Noted for their imaginative designs and innovative techniques, Jizhou wares were produced at kilns in Jiangxi province in southern China. The Jizhou kilns created an array of different types of wares over the five centuries of production. Jizhou potters also incorporated paper–cutting technique into their creations, which were decorated with paintings and motifs about local life.
