Abstract

This academic year, the University of Hong Kong (HKU) launched its Museum Studies Programme for postgraduate students. Considering the recently announced expansion of Hong Kong’s museum landscape and other global developments, the timing and location for this brand-new programme could not have been more opportune.

In his presentation, Joost Schokkenbroek (Professor of Museum Studies, HKU) will discuss the rationale behind the development of the Museum Studies Programme; its range of courses; and the possibilities for expanding relationships with students and other university departments.
