INTERNSHIP

UMAG offers internship opportunities to outstanding students. We encourage collections research and participation in educational programming, and thrive to educate a growing community of museum professionals.

Term Internship

Important Dates  Internships begin after HKU's add/drop period and end on the last week of the term, excluding Reading Week. We accept applications from current graduate students or undergraduates who are on their third or fourth year of studies. Priority is given to applications received by 15 July for semester one and 15 December for semester two. All other applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until positions are filled.

Eligibility  While a demonstrated interest in art and art history is preferred, students in all majors are encouraged to apply. Previous museum experience is not required.

Commitment  Interns are required to commit to a minimum of 96 hours during the semester.

Supporting document — Applicants are required to provide an up-to-date academic transcript. Transcripts can be unofficial but need to be legible. In the subject line of the email write: Term Internship "[Last Name_First Name] Transcript". You also may submit a resume along with the transcript.

Notes — Due to the overwhelming number of submissions, we are unable to interview everyone who applies. Also, please note that there is no stipend for this internship programme.
